This can easily be done via the bootloader (option e). To install OpenWRT to the 493AH, first format the NAND. The Common Procedures apply directly to the RB450G and are generally kept more up-to-date than these product-specific wiki pages, so it is a good idea to initially refer to the Common Procedures.
